Finally something for Nexus and Pixel owners, because Google’s latest security patches are live.
Google today posted its July 2017 Android Security Bulletin, which explains the vulnerabilities that’ve been patched in the July 2017 Android security update. Also released today are the July 2017 security updates for the Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel C, Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, and Nexus Player, all of which are based on Android 7.1.2. The Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 are getting security updates based on Android 7.1.1.
The July 2017 Android security update should start rolling out to those Nexus and Pixel devices today, but it could take a few days to make its way to everyone. If you’re feeling impatient, Google has also posted the factory images and full OTA images for sideloading.
