HTC has announced that it will begin pushing the Android 7.0 Nougat update to the One A9 smartphone. The rollout will begin tonight as an OTA update for unlocked One A9 devices. There’s no word yet on when the update will be available for carrier-specific versions, but individual carriers will likely announce the updates on their own.
This update matches with HTC’s timeline for the device’s update, which was scheduled for Q1 2017. The One A9, though over a year old now, proved to be a fairly successful device for HTC, and the company is working to keep it updated as long as possible. We’ll keep you posted on further updates regarding the One A9.
