BlackBerry may not be making its own hardware anymore, but that means it can further focus on software. And with such a focus on security, the company is taking it another step further by announcing the Privacy Shade app.
This app will obscure your screen except for what you’re viewing. You can set a specific area to be clear and adjust the darkness of the rest of the screen. This feature can be accessed through the Convenience Key if applicable, quick settings on Nougat, a swipe shortcut, or a dedicated notification.
While most people won’t get much use out of this app, it may be helpful for people viewing sensitive information in public places. The app is now on the Play Store and available for BlackBerry devices so if you’re interested, hit the source link to check it out!
