Google KeyBoard is now GBoard for Android

Earlier this week, Google Keyboard for Android found itself with an update and a new Gboard name. Now Google has officially confirmed that Gboard (which launched on iOS earlier this year) is available for Android users.

That means the full-featured software keyboard is bringing all of those features to Google’s own mobile operating system. That includes built-in search, which lets you tap the Google logo to quickly do a Google search from within the conversation and then copy and paste the info you find into the conversation.

Google also made improvements to autocorrection, the Glide Typing feature, and predictions. Gboard for Android also supports multiple languages at once.

Gboard is available now for free in Google Play. If you already have Google Keyboard installed on your device, keep an eye out for an update to the new experience.
