GBoard for Android getting new language and new editing mode

Google has updated the Gboard for Android app, adding support for new languages and new features.
First up, Gboard for Android has added support for 22 additional languages. Here’s the full list of new additions:

Google also notes that thanks to machine learning, Gboard for Android, now offers support for suggestions and glide typing in over 185 language varieties.

Gboard is also getting some new text input tools. The app now supports text editing with easily accessible buttons, which lets users quickly copy, paste, or cut text as they see fit. The buttons will also let users easily select text and move the cursor around. To access these new features, users just need to tap on the G logo or hit the arrow in the suggestion strip.

Another new feature of the update, which is rolling out now, is the ability to reposition and resize the keyboard. To do it, you’ll need to tap the G button or the arrow in the suggestion strip, select the More option (those three dots), then tap the one-handed mode button. From there you’ll be able to resize and reposition to your liking.
