The Google Pixel is in much higher demand than Google expected. This is obvious by the fact that there aren’t enough devices to go around. Plenty of people who bought one are still waiting for theirs.
To appease waiting customers, Verizon is going to be giving out free Daydream View to some customers who are still waiting on a device. Verizon says this offer only applies to a “certain subset” of waiting customers though, so not everyone waiting on a Pixel will be getting this gift.
Nonetheless, it’s nice that those who have been waiting a long time may be getting an $80 gift to ease the frustration. Hopefully Google will get its stock issues sorted out soon.
