Late last month, Instagram officially unveiled its next big feature: live video streaming. And now the company has confirmed that it is rolling out now to all users in the United States.
Instagram began rolling live streaming out to users last month, but now it should be live for all users in the U.S. A live stream can last for up to one hour, and there will be a “LIVE” badge easily visible on any broadcast. Viewers will be able to tap the heart icon to like the feed as well.
To start live streaming, just swipe to the right from your Instagram feed to open the camera. From there you’ll see a “Start Live Video” button. Tap that and you’ll start streaming. The stream is ephemeral, though, as Instagram doesn’t archive them for later viewing.
