Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3XL at FCC

We've seen a lot of rumor's about Google’s upcoming smartphones, the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, well ahead of the rumored October 9 launch date. And now it looks like the FCC is spending some time with the handsets. This is a required stop for both smartphones before they can launch to the public later this year, so it’s good to see we’re at least one step closer to making both officially official.

There is one interesting bit of information this time around. Unlike the previous years where Google’s Pixel smartphones have stopped off at the FCC, this year’s listings are actually filed by Google itself. Previously the FCC saw documentation filed by HTC and LG.

As is par for the course, there isn’t a lot of information to parse through. However, it’s likely that the Pixel 3′s model number is G013A while the Pixel 3 XL’s model number is G013C. The FCC filing for both handsets also confirms that they will support all of the major wireless networks in the United States.

Whether or not that means Google is going to launch the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL on other carriers other than Verizon directly remains to be seen.
