Moto C and Moto C Plus are now official


The Moto C and Moto C Plus are Motorola’s newest phones. They’ll both be available this spring in Asia Pacific, Europe, and Latin America. Both handsets are pretty entry-level on the specs front, but both also feature price tags that should be attractive for anyone looking to grab an affordable new phone.



First up, the Moto C. This handset features both 3G and 4G variants. Pricing starts at €89 for the 3G model with 1GB RAM/8GB storage, and the 4G option starts at €99 with 1GB RAM and 8GB of built-in storage. The 5-inch display has a resolution of 854×480, there’s a MediaTek MT6580m 64-bit quad-core 1.1GHz processor under the hood, a microSD slot, and it’s unlocked to support both GSM and CDMA networks.

There’s a 5-megapixel camera on the back and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera on the other side. It’ll be available in Starry Black, Metallic Cherry, and Fine Gold. It’s running Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, and its battery measures in at 2350mAh.

On the other hand Moto C Plus, which will start at €119 for the 1GB RAM variant, but there’s a 2GB of RAM model as well. Both offer 16GB of built-in storage, but the Moto C Plus offers a microSD card slot that supports cards up to 32GB. The display is a 5-inch panel with a resolution of 720p HD. There’s a MediaTek MT6737 64-bit quad-core 1.3GHz processor, the rear camera is 8MP, and the front-facing camera is 2MP. There’s a 4000mAh battery inside.

Both devices have microUSB ports and 3.5mm headphone jacks for good measure.
