Moto G5 another leaked image before the launch

Earlier this month, a retailer jumped the gun a bit and outed the Moto G5 and the Moto G5 Plus for the world to see. The Lenovo-owned Motorola hasn’t yet officially announced the upcoming handsets, but that will be happening soon. In the meantime, there are still plenty of opportunities to see the handset out in the wild. Like with some images that have surfaced.

The new photos show hands-on time with the Moto G5 from Dudu Rocha Tec, and we can get a clear look at the aluminum rear of the upcoming smartphone. There’s a photograph of the bottom-front of the G5 as well, giving us a look at its fingerprint reader.

That particular photo also seems to reveal that the Moto G5 will launch with Android 7.0 Nougat on board.

Leaning back into that retailer leak from earlier in the month, the Moto G5 will allegedly feature a 5-inch 1080p HD display, with an octa-core Snapdragon 430 processor under the hood. On the back, a 13-megapixel camera will be outfitted, and on the front a 5MP front-facing camera. It will also allegedly feature 32GB of built-in storage.

Motorola has plans to unveil new things at its Mobile World Congress event on February 26, and it’s likely that the Moto G5 (and the G5 Plus) will be showcased.
