Rumors : Samsung to sell refurbished Galaxy Note 7 phones

According to a Report, Samsung may begin selling refurbished Galaxy Note 7 devices in some countries around the world.

The expectation at the time was that Samsung would replace the batteries with functional ones, removing the concern that the refurbished units would explode like the originals. Whether or not that was a good idea was certainly up for debate at the time. And now it looks like the debate can begin again.
A new repoet out of korea suggests that Samsung is planning on launching refurbished Galaxy Note 7 devices in emerging markets such as Vietnam and India.
The main difference with these refurbished units is apparently a smaller battery. The report indicates that Samsung will opt to use a 3000mAh battery in these devices, rather than the 3500mAh battery that was used in the original phones.
Samsung is rumored to have more than two million Galaxy Note 7 devices remaining, so it’s not a surprise that the company would want to find something to do with them rather than just disposing of them. Whether or not launching refurbished Galaxy Note 7s will take off remains to be seen.
